I rarely ever say "advice" because it assumes that the speaker is a tier above the listener in most cultures. An advice is not compelling when the speaker's craft/experience does not back it up, so I frame them as "suggestions."

There's a thing in the entrepreneurs organization called "gestalt," which effectively means "experience share." You're not allowed to give advice, ever. The only thing you're allowed to do is share your experience (story-tell). And the person takes whatever lessons they will from it
