I’ve worked for several really successful web3 projects and what most people don’t want you to know— but is absolutely the case— is that *most* successful web3 projects are nearly indistinguishable from web2 when you peek behind the curtain. Don’t fight the messenger boy.

I see it a little differently. Web3 as a noun describes something that is philosophically unattainable in web2. Marketing is semantics. Reality is what web3 struggles to make appropriately self evident. Many in web3 believe that what is the case philosophically has already been attained in reality; but this is false.
