Whichever one doesn't require math. 😐

Welp, I have good news and bad news for you… Bad news first. Ell oh ell, there’s no avoiding math in the sciences. In fact, math is foundational to how science works. Good news, nobody calculates shit by hand anymore. You only need to know the conceptual bits and enough Python or R to feed your data to them.

Oh I know, I'm just shitposting and low-key admiring people who are good at math. Just about everything depends on math (or logic, depending on whichever you think is more primary.)

Aye, but this is Farcaster, so you should always expect earnestposting, even as replies to shitposts, haha. Relatedly, I always thought I was bad at math until I wasn’t forced to do it by hand. Turns out I’m actually pretty decent at it as long as I have a computer to take on the rote drudgery parts for me.

Indeed. Happy to draw out the honest-and-obvious for lurker benefit. I haven't been formally tested since grad school, but I was average at the time and haven't improved since. But hey, I get to learn the new math methods that are freaking out millennial parents. Maybe I'll grok it this time 'round.
