setting aside this ostracistic idea that we shouldn't speak for the dead or reemphasize their direct speech and conduct... when I see a publisher subvert a political process because their rentseeking model is being challenged, first I think about how selfish zero-sum behavior had Aaron crying in the bathroom stall, but then I think about http://www.aaronsw.com/weblog/theoryofchange and how optimistic he was about progress. what would Aaron think about SAG-AFTRA trying to subvert AI research & development? what would he think about other discrepancies & obstructionism throughout the past decade up to this point? I'd rather have that conversation than not.
