My art journey started with bootleg Aphex Twin apparel. I'd always been a musician first and his music had a Big impact on me in high school and college. In the winter of 18 I was pedicabbing full-time. A very stressful time when I learned the power of humility. But between shifts I needed to keep the devil at Bay so I busied my hands with embroidery And picked up block carving. The need for typography skills led me to The calligraphy pen and the style you see today. But this hand-stitched Aphex Twin patch was the very first piece I made on the road to making a living as an artist.
