I was just standing beside someone who ordered a literal soy latte. I think until this point I didn't even realize that soy lattes exist as an actual drink; my mind only recognized the term "soy latte" as a standardized culture war slur that the opposite tribe sometimes uses against my archetype.

nut and oat variants have been the thing for so long now that soy feels old fashioned and boomer coded.
