The software team of the MetaMask wallet has launched a new Gas Station that allows users to exchange assets without having to hold native Ethereum blockchain (ETH) tokens in their account to pay transaction fees. The feature is available in the main Ethereum blockchain for browser extensions in versions 12.6.0 and higher and will soon be implemented in the mobile application. The new feature support by swaps for a range of assets, including ETH and its wrapped version (wETH), as well as wrapped bitcoin wBTC and stablecoins USDT, USDC and DAI.
