thanks coop, hi ted 👋 About OSC: first we built a farcaster app called Poke which matches you with other farcaster users based on your music taste. Now building factory which is your music identity (favourite artists, albums and music memories) captured at protocol level so you can take it across the internet with you. happy to explain more!

Biggest feedback we got on our private alpha was "I don't know what I'm supposed to do" Sometimes when you're building things you think everything is obvious. Biggest goal right now is clearing that up in the app and in social / comms.

I've always known that crypto music is a teeny tiny bubble... But I spent the weekend building Factory's Instagram account and there are SO MANY music-obsessed people out there. We are truly the smallest of ponds. Kind of inspiring to (hopefully) reach these people but also realizing how none of us have really been building for them.

to be honest I think of it as attracting the right type of early user. The people we want in the app first are vinyl-buying, album-loving music nerds. Cosy corners build community.

One decision we made recently at Factory was to keep the focus on albums. There's a big hole in the current (digital) music landscape for going deeper into full albums and bodies of work.
