Agree - it comes down to channel purpose & why people are choosing to allocate attention - I'm "architecting" a playlist channel and making the case for music discovery -  at that point context becomes more important.  But yes - in the far wider context of /music - discovery is just one aspect

I agree, context is important, but sometimes you just want to drop a link and let the music speak for itself. However, context creates a community where people actually discuss things, while just sharing a bunch of music links feels more like using hashtags
