if you and your partner can spend time apart, pursue your own interests, and still feel secure in your relationship – that’s a big tick in the healthy relationship checklist. It doesn’t mean you love each other any less; it just means you’re confident and secure in your own selves and the relationship.

I think you have a little bit of a point. However, life has become so painful that if you both work, there is very little time you can spend together. Spending it separately can damage the relationship a bit. Okay, it is important to give space, but if you give too much space, I think this will cause ruptures in the relationship. The best thing is to spend quality time together as much as possible and as long as economic conditions allow.

I agree, it's also good when both parties are willing to compromise whenever there's a need to.
