Nodes are computers that connect to a blockchain network, helping to store, verify, and spread data. They’re the backbone of decentralization—no node, no network. Validators are special nodes that confirm transactions and secure the chain by reaching consensus. Types of Nodes: Full Node: Stores entire blockchain and validates all transactions. Light Node: Downloads only essential data—faster, less storage. Archive Node: Stores full history—used for analytics and indexing. Types of Validators: PoS Validator: Stakes tokens to propose/verify blocks (e.g. Ethereum). DPoS Validator: Elected by community to produce blocks (e.g. Tron). PoA Validator: Pre-approved entity validating blocks (e.g. VeChain). Together, nodes and validators keep the network alive—trustless, secure, and decentralized.
