What is the best bit of advice that you have ever been given? Who gave it to you and how did it impact you?

I remember an old boss of mine told me "the cream always rises to the top". It really stuck with me. The message is that if you work hard to develop your talents then you will eventually rise to the top and be rewarded for your efforts.

I remember being scared to start a particular course and my friend encouraged me to,that if or when I make a mistake I’ll learn from it and be better.
That belief has stayed with me in my whole learning process and helped a lot
