Maybe the Bank of Japan raising short-term government bond yields and the resulting yen appreciation could be affecting it. Do you think Japan's economy could have that much impact?

At first it seems hard to believe that one country's economy can have such a big impact on the US, but the US economy is very reliant on Japan's economy to perform well. Not just Japan, but if any trading partners of the US performs poorly, then the US will also see a market selloff. Crazy stuff huh?

Certainly, this happens not only in international economics but also between companies. It’s happening around me as well. Japan had incredible momentum in the past, but it still has influence today. I’d love to visit the US someday! 😆

I need to study more about Japan's economy and its historical zero interest rates. I'm finally old enough to understand these concepts so it's very intriguing to me! You must be seeing the impacts of the carry trade firsthand with Japanese companies, huh?
