Is @dwr.eth  going to let us out of spammer status? I’ve started a couple channels about irl interests I’m excited about and haven’t been using cast actions to distribute tips anymore. I’m not going to be left to rot forever in the shadows am I? Do we ever get some kind of chance to redeem our accounts?

@mugi0526.eth and @skrim may be able to share more info about how they were able to.

Earlier, I shared my experience with spam labeling in the /success DC group, so I’d like to share it here with everyone as well.

First, when you’re labeled as spam, any replies or follows you make won’t notify the other person unless they’re already following you. 
Additionally, in some channels, your posts might not be visible to anyone who isn’t following you.

About two months ago, I was also labeled as spam. 
To improve the situation, I first stopped posting just frames. 
When replying, I made sure to read the other person’s message carefully and engage in proper conversation. 
I also exchanged tips directly by visiting the other person’s cast. 
Furthermore, I subscribed to /success  to get reactions from power users and focused on making meaningful posts. In other words, I tried to avoid actions that might seem bot-like. 
I believe getting reactions from power users also had a positive effect.

Looks like I'm officially a spammer now and I have been downgraded to 'More replies'.

I can only say hi to my followers from now on. 

Interesting what 1 cast tagging 10 people as a frame experiment can do to your credits that you have build for months.

I'm a builder and will explore boundaries while seeking for new use cases.

I'm sorry if my frame experiment did the same harm to your account. You did not deserve this. If someone had to be punished it should've just been me, not you, you were using a frame and sending sincere congratulations. I was exploiting and surfacing what I think is a flaw. 

I've rolled back the share + tag feature as soon as I saw @v's warning but as it looks like right now it wasn't just a warning.

It's terrible that they reacted like this over just one incident. Since you're quite well known, they might be using you as an example. My case seems to be different, so I may not be much help sorry about that. I followed you since I'm not receiving notifications.

It seems like there was quite an unfair processing involved. I'm Japanese, and many people in the Japanese community are also struggling with this spam label. @jinnma has been compiling a list of people with spam labels and sending DMs to Varun to take action. While some people have had their spam labels removed, others haven't, so it's unclear how effective this has been.

Yeah it's silly. Thanks for the support! Found that about 90% of the people that tagged using the frame that day are spammers but also some still have a power badge. I'm sorry for the 90% but it's clear it's not automated since not all were affected and some were just missed.

Even figured out the number of additional tags that day were just a little bit more compared to regular days so no harm done.

Build a frame the next day which until now registered over 22k users as spammers
