Zara is considered the largest sub-set of the Inditex chain of stores. Inditex is a large Spanish textile and design conglomerate and the world's largest fashion group, which, apart from Zara, owns other brands such as Massimo Dutti, Paul & Burr, Oyesha, Outreke, Stradivarius and Bershka.

36 $DEGEN Zara was started by Amancio Ortega in 1975. His first shop was in central A Coruña, in Galicia, Spain, where the company is still based.
