Guido van Rossum, born Jan 1956, Haarlem, Netherlands. Dutch computer scientist who is the creator of the Python programming language. He started working on Python in the late 1980s, as a successor to the ABC programming language. Python was first released in 1991. Van Rossum was a core developer of Python until 2018.
