aren’t microtransactions just spam? projects have been dusting wallets forever to get attention. sending someone tokens on Farcaster doesn’t mean they’ll care—people sent me Warps, I ignored them. unless there's utility or context, microtransactions = noise.

Small-scale transactions aren't inherently good or bad—it's all about execution. - If they focus on delivering real value (think exclusive perks, genuinely fun social features, or a rewards system that doesn’t feel rigged), they could be game-changing. - If they devolve into spammy noise or yet another way to hijack people’s focus, they’ll crash and burn. The difference comes down to this: do the creators actually get what users want, or are they just chasing quick wins? Build something simple, useful, and people will stick around. 🤝

Yeah, feels like most microtransaction stuff ends up in the second category. Open to seeing real value examples though. Even the 99¢ store shut down. What can you do with 5 cents now? Most people want big wins, not tiny change tossed their way.
