could you take a pic of the stem (if it has one) If it doesn't it might be a Calvatia Gigantea, they are pretty tasty. Just slice it and cook it as steak or breaded like snitzel...

It looks to be a Calvatia Gigantea based on another comment suggesting the same, and the obvious similarities in images online.

I decided to leave it alone because it’s right off a trail, so hopefully others can marvel at its beauty.

But jeez, it’s a lot of food! 😂
