Some things you once wanted with all your heart gradually lose their significance. And that’s completely natural. The job you thought would make you happy. The person you believed you couldn’t live without. The definition of success you built in your younger days. One day, you think about them, and you feel nothing—no regret, no longing. You simply make peace with yourself and realize that you’ve changed. It’s strange to mourn something you no longer desire, to remember how hard you once fought for it, and to wonder who you were when it mattered so much. But maybe that’s the sign of growth when you can stand where you are now and no longer wish to be anywhere else.

our past aspirations don’t define us forever. finding peace in the present without longing for what once was is a true sign of personal maturity

That’s true, my friend. There comes a time when many things no longer have the same color and feel as before.
