Africa's Climate: A Continent of Hot Diversity
Africa is the hottest continent on our planet. Its climate is shaped by its geographic location, relief, and ocean currents. The main climate zones of Africa are equatorial, subequatorial, tropical, and subtropical.

Equatorial zone: Characterized by high humidity and abundant rainfall throughout the year. Dense equatorial forests are located here.
Sub-equatorial zone: Characterized by the alternation of wet and dry seasons. In the rainy season, a large amount of precipitation falls, while in the dry season, there is a drought.
Tropical zone: The hottest and driest zone of Africa. Here are located the largest deserts in the world - the Sahara and the Kalahari.
Subtropical zone: The climate is milder, with hot summers and warm winters. Precipitation falls mainly in winter.
