During these years, he had only 16 murders on his record, along with all the petty crimes he committed. This terrifying case has been adapted many times, both in its own time and to this day, but the most notable of them was this Netflix series. The story, told mainly from the perspective of his victims, focuses more deeply on the incompetence and indifference of the police force that allowed this Wisconsin native to carry out a multi-year killing spree. The series depicts at least 10 murders, due to which Dahmer was almost caught, but was eventually released.
