"In the Valley of Elah" is a very good movie about a father named Hank. The story begins when Hank's son, who is a soldier, suddenly goes missing after returning from the Iraq war. The father gets worried and goes looking for his son. When he reaches the town where his son was, he realizes that something is not right, there is a secret here. Along the way, a female police detective helps him. The movie beautifully shows what war does to people, both soldiers and their families. It is also a kind of mystery movie, they are trying to find out what exactly happened. Tommy Lee Jones plays the role of the father, Charlize Theron plays the role of the policeman. Watch and enjoy.
