The reason for this is that according to Techland officials, Dying Light: The Beast was initially planned as a DLC for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. However, story leaks prompted the developers to reconsider, and making the first game's hero, Kyle Crane, the protagonist of this game as well provided a fresh perspective and great inspiration.

Dying Light: The Beast will offer over 18 hours of gameplay, and if you already own Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition, you'll get this game for free.
