A workflow I've found that has made videos much smoother and more effective:
- Write a blog post of the tutorial first
- Try following the tutorial exactly as written to catch any mistakes
- Pretend to film and go through the tutorial
- Film the video 
Its work but fixes mistakes before they happen imo

my workflow is the opposite:

- create a non-scripted video
- scribble down 3-4 short notes
- create 2nd video using notes
- ship video
- 1 week later ship blog post/doc/tutorial after rewatching video

way less time spent.

if you are making mistakes in a video live coding then the video is probably too long
