I love photography — for me, it’s more than just pictures. Since childhood, I loved looking through albums, fascinated by the pages of my grandmother’s black-and-white photos. These photos were treasures: they brought the family history to life, conveyed emotions, captured moments that will never be repeated.
Now, if I see someone’s photo album, I ask them to look at it. They used to be a symbol of comfort, always at hand, but now photos often remain on phones or in the “cloud”. It’s a little sad — the magic is lost when you can’t hold a photo in your hands.
My children don’t really like having their photos taken, but I always ask them to take a couple of pictures. I explain that this is important not only for me, but for them too. When they grow up, the photos will remind them of holidays, adventures, and even ordinary days. After all, photos preserve not just images, but warm feelings.
I believe that every photo is a small story that deserves to be preserved. 22 replies
