when you deposit USDC into a Moonwell vault, you'll receive mwUSDC. These are vault tokens. The interest accumulated will also be mwUSDC as long as you still keep your position in the vault. 

Once you exit your vault position, these will be swapped into USDC.

and the accrued mwUSDC interest is paid out to my wallet? if yes, at what frequency?

It is accrued per second, and paid out per block.
