The COMEX gold price hit a record high of over $2,690 per ounce, up 30% YTD. Gold turned out to be the only asset with better dynamics than the shares of the technology sector. Analysts believe that prices could exceed $2,700 per ounce in 2024, helped by strong demand from central banks and ETFs, which bought 102 tons of gold in four months.
