My alternative take: this is exactly what's needed to support FOMO aping in when $ETH starts to soar (not saying the bottom is in but I see far more risk looking to short or sell than long or buy right now). Traders aren't investors. They make money out of volatility and backing a trend/narrative. When that changes, they pivot quickly.

USD1 will be fully backed by short-term U.S. government securities, U.S. dollar deposits, and other cash equivalents, and will be first available on Ethereum and BNB Chain. The stablecoin aims to provide access to DeFi with the credibility and safeguards of traditional finance, offering a digital dollar that can be integrated into strategies for secure cross-border transactions, WLFI co-founder Zach Witkoff said.

In all this, what are the merits of XPR and ADA? Ok, they are historic cryptocurrencies but: 1) XRP is mega centralized with founders who have been selling their own tokens for years. 2) Cardano's DeFi has never been used by anyone. Ok, great community, but is that enough? BTC, ETH and SOL are obvious choices. SOL, like it or not, is the most used chain (80% for gambling) and the one with the largest TVL after Ethereum.
