Can someone explain what Data Availability is, and why should us end users care? Is it like the NFT images on AWS or Arweave, or other/more than that? Or is that something only devs should be concerned with?

DA is about any actor being able to verify all onchain data which fulfills ethereum staying decentralized and trustless. For end users it comes down to 2 things: costs and scale. It’ll be easier to bring your friends onchain to play with dapps if the dapps can handle the influx while keeping transaction costs low.

If we can fit even more data onchain that everyone can trust, we may have some emergent dapps we can’t even imagine yet.
