I remember seeing paragraphs and paragraphs of tweets last year saying the administration wouldn’t touch NOAA/NWS. It wasn’t even in the ballpark. Color me shocked and surprised they’re now locking people out of NOAA and working on cutting it.

There it is. DOGE is telling NOAA to reduce its staff by 50% and funding to the agency by 30%. They weren’t “auditing” the weather career field, they’re slashing it. They’re likely to go after the NWS next. https://t.co/9Vg3KFP3wI
