The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has finally recognized GrayScale's amended application to launch a spot Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF). The move comes after previous applications to launch a Solana ETF were rejected due to misclassification as a commodity trust. Currently, major firms such as 21Shares, Bitwise, VanEck and Canary Capital have all applied to launch the Solana spot ETF.
