It was a foggy evening in the neon-lit metropolis of Neo Raven City. The glow of holographic billboards pierced through the mist that crept along the ground. Detective Emma Hart, also known as Shadow Strike, a superhero with the power to phase through shadows, was patrolling the city after a long day at the precinct. Her enhanced senses detected every distant sound, each footstep a reminder of her duty to protect the innocent.

Suddenly, a man in a torn cloak stumbled out of an alley ahead. His eyes glowed faintly with a blue light, his body crackling with residual energy. He collapsed to the ground, his voice barely a whisper. “Help me... They’re coming,” he gasped, his eyes locking onto Emma's.
