Iranians have a wide variety of food and delicious dishes are served all over Iran, but one of the most delicious Iranian dishes is kebab kobideh. This kebab has an interesting history and dates back about 170 years. There are different stories about the invention of chelo kebab in Iran. For example, Etemad-ol-Saltaneh attributed the arrival of chelo kebab to Iran to Nasser al-Din Shah in his memoirs. Therefore, the first kebab was at that time and in the Tehran market. Considering that this Qajar king was influenced by Europeans, this claim does not seem very unlikely. Other documents in this regard also indicate that the first kebab was built in Tabriz. The first kebab in Tehran where women could also attend was chelo kebab of Abbas Shamrouni (later chelo kebab of Fard Shemirani) which was located in Amin-ol-Soltan Square.
