Channels should be first-class citizens Knowing which channel a cast is posted in is almost as important to me as knowing who posted it, both of them set the context for me to read and engage with the cast Warpcast currently tacks on the channel *identifier* (not even name) at the end of a cast in small light gray text at the very bottom of the information hierarchy — I often don’t even know which channel the cast is in until after I’ve read it — which makes it feel like an afterthought and a hashtag I think that moving the channel up to the top of a cast would have a profound impact on how the cast and channel are perceived: it sets the context of “who” and “where” before focusing on the “what” which is important for social networks (vs. social media where “what” is king) Also showing the full channel name rather than the (way too techy URL slug) channel identifier and displaying the channel image would go a long way in helping channels to stand out and feel like their own
