@coinbasewallet With this new TRON/USDT -> BASE/USDC swap feature, a large userbase from TRON/USDT, who are also primarily from developing countries, would prefer an experience similar to traditional fintech payments apps (i.e. Zelle). I understand the goal of trying to get Coinbase Wallet users to explore more things onchain, but I feel it is best to not overwhelm especially new users who prefer a simple experience, which will foster a trusting relationship and eventually feel comfortable enough to explore other things onchain. However, currently I feel the UX is too cluttering, and the featured apps and NFTs stuff should be dedicated to a separate tab away from the Home page. I suggest that the Home page should literally be a fintech style payment platform for USDC, thats it. Not even balances of other cryptocurrencies, there shouldn’t even be any mention of crypto. I go as far to say it is best to remove any mention of “crypto” and “NFTs” as much as you can, even in the titles on App Stores

The goal should be to try abstract onchain as much as possible. Build trust for the normies, not for the native crypto users. All of the onchain features such as trending swaps, NFT mints, featured apps, etc… should ONLY reveal itself as soon as the user starts looking for it, the Explore tab would be a perfect fit for that. Even when they venture into the Explore tab, a good informative prompt or tour guide to educate the user on the many different things to do onchain, as well as some safety precautions, is a perfect way to introduce them onto their journey. Think about this from the normies perspective, especially from developing countries. Is it a good idea to expose them to terms such as NFTs, DeFi, Crypto, Onchain, etc? I feel it is best to refrain from this as much as possible, and have them get comfortable first as a harmless payment app. Especially if we have the capabilities to do so. This will put you right in competition with all the other fintech apps, except they will be competing with you.
