I built one with the guidance of a local builder, but I think a good place to start is look at stewmac, solo, and guitarfetish. In that order of quality. For pickups I use two personal winders professionally: Cavalier Pickups for my single coils, Motor City Pickups for Humbuckers (Wade wound Jerry Cantrell’s pickups)
