having very limited experience using prediction markets like @swaye or @polymarket can you help me understand this?

given these are pay to predict tools (pay eth to make bet on an outcome) would not the polls represent the big money / whales opinions? if so, aren’t these the same opinions of the ruling class / main stream media?
