wildcard

over the past 5 days i’ve tipped out the following to wildcard ticket holders:

90k $DEGEN (top 25 ticket holders)
15k  $WILD (top 10 ticket holders)

i committed to doing this for 5 days as as an experiment to help me bootstrap and test the platform…then review. 

it’s going really well so will keep it up…with some improvements around the edges.

also of note:  7 of the top 40 on wildcard have mfer pfps…probably just a fad.

there are more reasons to hold a user's ticket on /wildcardclub than just ticket market cap expansion alone.

so why else would you hold a user's ticket?

one reason is the alignment of incentives created through tip sharing. 

here is the thought process through a real example:

- i've been betting on @animated as a person and creative for several years now

-many people feel the same way as me and already support animated through degen tips, collecting art, etc

-i believe many more people in the future will recognize what some of us already recognize about animated

-as a result, value will continue to flow to animated in many forms

-by holding his ticket on wildcard, i now have a share in the $WILD tips he receives

we are only beginning to understand the alignments and actions that this type of skin in the game social economics will generate…barely scratching the surface.

there are obviously a lot of variables to consider…but i’m convinced incentive models like this are the future of social.

based on the meta, my assumption was wildcard.lol was “just another trading card” app

yes it is but SHOCKER i kinda like it (!!) bc it’s also:

MORE ACCESSIBLE with linear (vs cubic) bonding curve and fractional buys

MORE NONZERO SUM bc you get 25% of tips to people you bet on and a % of all bets on you
