increasingly more 10k fids & below are in my dms calling for me to get LOUDER

it appears the inner circle is finally getting pissed off?

two notable developments:

1) “get louder for us” — people are scared to speak up due to fear of retribution from ex-cb mafia (this is horrifying, no different than censorship & why we get called linkedin)

2) just talked to a second crypto & fc og who is now advising an fc competitor interested in tokenizing the social graph: one just wants to start a fire; the other is giving “fine i’ll do it myself” energy

while i appreciate dans recent visibility on the timeline, we’ve debated this time & time again to no end & nothing has changed 

out of love for the network, the people want SOME of the 100m+ of capital being SAT ON deployed & deployed LOUDLY 

starting with ONE non dev hire to run ONE of these initiatives (to start): 

> eco fund
> marketing & ua
> branding & optics
> grants & devrel
> meaningful creator rewards & ambassador program

Let’s say a group of folks were to establish an independent Marketing and Funding arm for the Farcaster ecosystem. 

What would you want such an org to do?

I think it would be good to hear user stories captured in a way that makes them more relatable to the general public. And have these stories connected to a "why" and a result that feels relatable to those not trying to build or trade.

Organize the writers and creators on FC with themes, inspiration and support. This happens organically with some events/projects, like onchain summer. But I imagine incentivized and supported events to create and share specific content could be beneficial. More ⬇️

Support serious and proven devs with connections to support the marketing materials for their projects. As devs are building, this arm coordinates and supports resources to help them establish basics for their projects - websites, FAQs, social posts, write ups, graphics.

Channels support newbies. It's where we find content we can understand and contribute to. We find our first frens and community. Helping channel owners and mods create the best channel possible benefits everyone. Encourage average users to launch channels so more voices emerge as leaders. Channel academy, maybe?
