Great approach! Urban photo shoots are full of opportunities for creative solutions. Looking at other people's work helps you not only to find inspiration, but also to understand what you can bring to your concept. What do you want to convey through this shoot, what atmosphere are you trying to achieve?

Thank you, Oleksii! Urban shoots really do offer endless creative possibilities. For this one, I’m aiming to capture a mix of elegance and spontaneity—showcasing her personality while blending it with the city's dynamic vibe. What atmosphere do you enjoy most in urban photography?

Glad to be of help! In city photography I like the combination of contrasts: the harmony between silence and movement, light and shadows, old and new. An atmosphere where one becomes a part of the city, but still retains its uniqueness, always looks particularly interesting. I love it when photographs convey the energy and dynamics of a city, but at the same time allow you to feel personal moments and emotions. How do you usually approach the choice of location and lighting to create the right atmosphere?

Capturing contrasts and the unique energy of the city adds so much depth to urban photography. Choosing the right location and lighting must be a fascinating challenge. Mireya, how do you decide which spots best reflect the vibe you're aiming for in your shoots?

You're absolutely right, the contrasts and energy of a city can really deepen the images and add to their dynamic. The choice of location and lighting does play a key role and I always approach the process with the realisation that each location has its own unique atmosphere. I usually look for locations that combine elements of modernity with nature or history to create interesting contrasts. It could be a street scene with colourful graffiti or old buildings against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers. I also pay attention to details: architectural elements, wall textures, reflections in shop windows or lines of movement of people. These moments can make a big difference to the overall atmosphere of the shot. I always try to get an intuitive feel for a place so that it suits not only the exterior, but also the mood I want to convey. What is the main thing for you when choosing a location for a shoot in the city?
