Minsk is the largest economic centre of Belarus. The total volume of tax revenues is about half of the total volume in the country. Together, they provided 40% of revenues. In 2010, small businesses provided about 25% of tax revenues. The gross regional product of Minsk is 26.4% formed by the manufacturing industry, 19.9% ​​by wholesale trade 12.3% by transport and communications 8.6% by retail trade, and 5.8% by construction.
