Prediction: within the next year, OpenAI releases a model that disrupts its own chatbot form factor, likely coinciding with GPT5. (And Apple dazzles us in June with an updated Siri)

From what I’ve picked up from recent interviews with Altman, they will most likely not release a stronger model with better reasoning this year, but rather new products and use cases (most likely AI agents etc). Excited for competition which is heating up though!

Yah. I could see that! I just think that chat as a form factor is rather limiting, as I’ve been playing with other AI applications, and realizing how freeing and deep it is to not be constrained by chat. Figjam AI being one good example of this.

Yes, good point. Chat UX is indeed very primitive and limiting, spending a lot of time just going back and forth etc. We got so much good ahead of us!
