I come from a city near the border with Ukraine (I am from Russia) and I can tell you with confidence that this is the stupidest war, 80% of Russians have Ukrainian roots and relatives in Ukraine. When will these "rulers" have had enough of playing war and sit down at the negotiating table. The losses are too great for both sides, no matter what anyone says.

I love how russians always jump in to talk about ‘both sides’ and ‘rulers’, when it’s your ruler who chose to invade, and it’s russian people who are choosing to go into a foreign country, occupy cities and kill civilians. It’s also russians that are choosing to move to occupied cities like Mariupol and buy property near literal mass graves. What’s even more mind-boggling is that russians are joyfully going on a killing spree while like you said having relatives in Ukraine. But yeah, let’s play the victim and say ‘both sides’ are struggling.

Yeah, it’s always wild to read 🥴 the level of awareness is beyond zero, and they never ever consider themselves guilty in this war, and always talking about themselves. I guess all invaders and occupants have the same view of these things.
