“It’s not the algorithm your content just sucks.” A common expression on Twitter in response to people who complain their engagement is down. Based on my last week of heavy Farcaster usage, and 15 years of detailed study of Twitter… No buddy. It’s the fucking algorithm.

It doesn’t matter how much, when, & where you post or how good your content is. What matters most on Twitter is how often you throw your life away on it. I don’t know a single other app other than mobile games that spams your notifications with 12 “recommendations” a day when you’re not using it.
