Petra is an ancient city located in southern Jordan, renowned for its stunning architecture carved into rose-red sandstone cliffs. Often referred to as the "Rose City," Petra was the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom around 6th century BCE. The site is famous for its intricate rock-cut facades and water conduit system, showcasing the advanced engineering of its creators.

One of the most captivating attractions is Al-Khazneh, or "The Treasury," which is a monumental façade carved into the cliffs, often featured in films like *Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade*. Visitors also explore the Siq, a narrow gorge leading into Petra, and the Royal Tombs, with their impressive carvings. Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, attracting tourists from all over the globe.
