GOTOOLCHAIN=auto is intended for forward-compatibility, and does not "downgrade" Go due to downgrades being unsafe by nature Building projects requiring a specific Go version, regardless of current environment is perfect use-case which this little function aims to solve

Of course, requires recent Go supporting GOTOOLCHAIN environment variable https://go.dev/doc/toolchain Spin up your CI environment with recent Go, make sure that ~/go (or $GOPATH) is cached, set up the toolchain version with this script for desired project & that's it

That's why also sometimes you'll see localhost DNS address working weirdly with some deployments Specify localhost by default in the config, end up listening only on IPv6 by accident, then burn time on why you you're getting that connection refused error Various Linux distros behave differently with this detail...

Here's a small bash function I made to make working with different third party Go projects in your favourite CI pipelines easier https://gist.github.com/mikroskeem/268d08bda34c1cdd1293b1f4691e6890 Go doesn't have as good version management solution as Rust offers (via rustup), yet some projects (especially web3 /-related) build only on specific Go versions because of e.g. quic-go.

๐Ÿš€ Just launched https://walruscdn.com (v1) โ€“ our global CDN service built on top of Walrus storage network. Blob requests are dynamically routed to individual endpoint operators, while we take care of the regional routing and caching. Supporting both testnet and mainnet (soon tm). ๐Ÿงต What is Walrus?

imo it's too much, terminals should be simple - rather go with ghostty or iTerm
