Hi, my name is Mikko, and I'm a creative landscape photographer from Finland. It's FotoFriday so It's time to introduce myself!

I've been a photographer for the past 16 years. I love to capture minimalistic landscape photographs and humans in landscape (mostly myself in the frame). I do enjoy all sorts of photography and try to keep an open mind whenever I head out to photograph.

My goal is to capture the emotion of the places and moments I experience and transform the viewer into the scenery. Occasionally, I do composites and use multiple images to create a final piece.

WHAT'S IN MY BAG 📸

I'm a Nikon shooter and in the Nikon Creator family. My current setup is close to what I would ever need on a trip. This is what I use for my photography and timelapses.

One thing I love to capture is night photography. In this thread, I'll share a bit about how I capture and edit my night photographs.

BEFORE & AFTER 

I enjoy playing with light during my photography sessions and then adding depth in post-production. Here’s an example of my favourite tree at night. In the before image, the colours are very warm due to light pollution.

The after version adds a more dynamic vibe to the scene with cooler tones, contrast, and blue light, creating a stronger impact. Edited in Lightroom.
