We thought hard about being a @moxie.eth Hero this week and how we'll celebrate that. Introducing Pkok Finterviews - Cast-form farcaster interviews, 20 questions to some of our favorite people. We aim to tell stories of phenomenal individuals shaping the art ecosystem on web3. It's also a great way for us and other heroes to get to know and engage with them. Oh! each interview starts with /degen love. But wait, there's more! These Finterviews are not restricted to only those we tag. If you'd like to participate, just respond to the questions and join the party, everybody is invited to be a part of these Finterviews. Tell us more about yourself, read other people's stories and hopefully we all get to know each other better by the end. Pkok Finterviews, a 🧵

Hey, good to be here. Thanks for having me! My first inspiration for photography came in 2007. After a rainy day, I was driving and saw this beautiful sunset with mist in the field and light rays going through the trees. I had a point-and-shoot camera with me, and I took a couple of photographs. While I was going through those photographs, I realized that I wanted to get a camera and start exploring the world through photography. A year later, I finally had some money to buy a DSLR and started using it every moment I could.

I love to capture minimalistic landscapes and photograph the common uniquely. Timing, vision, and perspective are key. A place you might overlook transforms in different weather and light. It's the most difficult part of my photography and the most rewarding. Thanks a lot!

You def have a knack of capturing the common uniquely. What do you want people to feel or experience when they see your work?

It depends on the photograph and work. But the main thing is to make the viewer stop and think what they are looking at and transport them to the scenery. Make them feel inspired and also spend more time outside.

There are some moments when you are in the zone – you forget everything else. It's just you and the moment. Those are the special moments only photography can give me. One of those moments was with one of my favourite photographs. Everything aligned, and the moment felt like a dream.

That's a good question. I think beauty can be found in the process. It's also transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary. It can also be storytelling.

👏 Staying on the subject, what does the term “masterpiece” mean to you?

For me it's the thing creators seek but never really create in their own terms. The process of trying to create a masterpiece is much more important than achieving it. When your artistic vision and effort align - that's a masterpiece.

About five years ago, I didn't really feel like photographing anymore. I felt I had grinded too hard to not get where I wanted to be. I started doing other things and took time off. After about six months, I realized how much more I could learn about photography. When you feel stagnant, you have to challenge yourself more. Keep creating and explore new ways of creating. When you focus only on the outcome, you lose the process, and the process is more important than the outcome.

"...the process is more important than the outcome." seems to be a recurring theme in your answers 👏 Can you describe the relationship between chaos and control in your creative process?

Chaos is the creation side of things but the control comes into play with focus and the technical aspect of photography.

I think there are plenty of great ones and it's all what you prefer. It's hard to say who to pay attention to. I guess those who keep on creating and exploring the space.

By opening my mind, trying to see things as a beginner. Trying, failing and doing it again until I find my groove again. Movies, music and nature are my ways to get inspired.
