Do you see a future where war is fought in a way that doesn't require soldier beings regularly shot at?

Thinking fully remote warfare, robotics, cyber, etc.

In th Ukraine now we are inching towards this future.  The US has sent switchblade drones.  They are not autonomous, but piloted and still are scary as hell.  It is not hard to imagine a rocket deploying th see and AI powering them like some dystopian sci-fi film.  Probably a firmware update...

What is scary about Russias strategy and tactics is that they are continually targeting civilians.  So, autonomous remote weapons in the wrong hands removes "soldiers being shot" and just trades in "the enemy".  

I personally vote for "Robot Jox" to sort our disputes.
