One day, I ventured out to Cape Coast and stood at the door of Cape Coast Castle, where history echoes through the walls. The emotional weight of standing where so many had suffered was overwhelming. But at the same time, it was a powerful reminder of resilience, strength, and the importance of knowing our roots.
The trip wasn’t all solemn reflections, though. I was lucky enough to hike through the Kakum National Park and walk on the famous canopy walk, suspended high in the air, with breathtaking views of the rainforest below. The adrenaline was real, but so was the serenity that comes with being surrounded by nature’s untouched beauty.
And the beaches! You haven’t truly lived until you’ve watched the sun set over Labadi Beach, with drummers in the background and the waves gently crashing at your feet. I even joined an impromptu drum circle, where locals and tourists alike danced and laughed as the stars filled the sky. 1 reply
